MatthewFlix is a private, invite-only home streaming service operated by Matthew Wallen (sole proprietor) for invited members. Nothing is sold and there is no advertising.
To run the service we keep only what it needs: the name each person chooses for their profile, what they watch and for how long (to resume where they left off), and standard connection information (IP address and approximate city) for security - for example to block repeated failed sign-in attempts or an address that misuses the service. If you request a preview link on our Join page, we keep the name and email address you enter, used only to send you the preview link and, if the operator invites you, your invitation. If you opt in to text messages on our Text Message Preferences page, we keep the name and mobile number you enter and the date and time of your consent, used only to send the MatthewFlix texts described below. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
If you choose to opt in on the optional MatthewFlix text message preferences page, MatthewFlix may text you automated watch-party invitations with a unique join link, and a one-time confirmation when you sign up. Texts go only to numbers that opted in; texting is never required to use MatthewFlix. Message frequency varies and is low - up to 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. Numbers are used only to send MatthewFlix watch-party invitation texts and the one-time confirmation. Texts are delivered through our messaging provider (Twilio) solely to send them.
Library access is granted by the operator by invitation; members sign in with an access code. A session token is kept on your device only to keep you signed in.
No data is sold or shared with third parties, other than service providers (such as our messaging provider, Twilio) acting solely on our behalf to deliver the service. No advertising or tracking of any kind is used.
MatthewFlix is a private, members-only service; membership is granted by the operator and is not offered to children under 13.
